Homeopathy Consultation

The consultation is a safe, confidential place where you will be listened to and given time to explain what you are seeking homeopathic treatment for.

The first time we meet the consultation will take up to one and half hours for an adult, and up to an hour for a child.

This provides you with an opportunity to find out more about homeopathy, ask questions and to provide me with as much detail about yourself as you feel happy to give.

We will look at your main reasons for coming for treatment, take details of your medical and family history. I will ask questions to allow you to give me a full picture of who you are, including details about your sleep, the foods you enjoy, any fears or anxieties that you may have. I want to understand as much as I can about the symptoms or difficulties that you are experiencing.

All information is received without judgement, allowing a caring and supportive approach.

Subsequent appointments are shorter and usually 2-6 weeks after the initial one; the number required will depend on the reasons you have for treatment and will be discussed during the first appointment.

These follow up appointments are vital to the treatment that you are entering into; they give us an opportunity to explore what has happened with you in the intervening time. This information needs to be gathered to allow for a full appraisal of what should happen next–is this the right remedy for you? should it be repeated? do you need something more frequently?

There are a multitude of possibilities to achieve what it is we set out to do during the initial consultation.

After your consultation I take away all of the information that I have received and I will spend the time that I need to research and consider what you have shared with me to enable me to prescribe a suitable homeopathic remedy for you. This remedy will be sent out a few days after the consultation.

Fees:-

Much of a homeopath’s work happens outside of the consultation, the fees reflect this work as well as the consultation time.

The initial consultation is £85 and follow up appointments are £60.                                                              Remedies are charged for additionally to the consultation fee and are dependent on the remedies prescribed and the necessary postage payable.

  • I am happy to provide advice and support by phone or email in between scheduled appointments as part of the consultation fee.
  • Telephone consultations are charged at the same rate as face to face consultations and are for follow up appointments only.
  • On line appointments will continue to be offered and will be charged as face to face appointments.
  • If you require a repeat remedy in between appointments, this will be a minimum of £10.
  • If you need a different remedy in between appointments, it may require a follow up consultation or there will be a minimum fee of £25 plus the remedy. This will be my decision regarding what is in your best interest.
  • If you need a remedy for an acute situation and I haven’t seen you for a while and you are not in the middle of treatment with me, there will be a minmum fee of £35 plus the remedy.

Homeopathic remedies are not addictive and can be used alongside other medication and treatments.

Consultations are suitable for acute conditions as well as for long standing chronic complaints.

I offer a free 30 minute exploratory phone call to each person interested in booking a consultation with me; finding the right practitioner to work with is an important decision and this is an opportunity for us both to find out whether or not we can work together. Contact me to book this exploratory call.

About Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a natural holistic medicine that is used in many different countries around the world. It sits comfortably alongside other natural treatments, and can be used alongside medication prescribed for you by your family doctor.

Homeopathy was developed into it’s current form over 200 years ago by a German doctor, Samuel Hahnemann.

It is a safe form of medicine; it uses remedies made mostly from animal, vegetable and mineral substances prepared in such a way that they are powerful without being toxic or addictive.

The remedies are intended to work with your body, to stimulate the natural self-healing force to bring about a re-balancing of your system. The symptoms that you are experiencing are signs that you are out of balance in some way.

As it is you that is out of balance, then it is you that is treated. Homeopathy is therefore suitable for any physical condition, issue of mental health or emotional difficulty, or even if you just don’t feel right without being able to put a name to how you are feeling. This is because we are treating you as an individual. If 10 people were being treated homeopathically for migraine, for example, then it is likely that they would all be receiving a different remedy as each person will be experiencing their condition differently.

Homeopathy works well during periods of transition in our lives, such as pregnancy and birth, childhood, teenagers, divorce, menopause, dying, during grief for example.

Homeopathy also works with you as you travel and discover the different paths that we are all on; it can help to reveal your different layers as you get to know yourself better. It is a good medium for this deeply personal work.
